2018年も残すところあと僅か、今年も長野県内では様々な大会が行われ、多くの長野県関連選手が活躍した。そんな平成最後の年を月ごとに追ってプレイバック！あの大会、あの選手の活躍をもう一度お伝え致します。第一夜は2月から7月までの大会をお送り致します。
2018年2月の出来事

・2018シクロクロス東京
|
2月は県内では大きな大会は行われなかったものの、東京五輪を最後に一度休止となる2018シクロクロス東京が行われた。県勢はマスターズで仁藤（スワコレーシング）が優勝した他、ユースでは永野（イナーメ信濃山形）が2位、ジュニアで橋本（中野立志館高）が3位、エリートで小坂光（宇都宮ブリッツェン）が2位と大健闘。小坂はJCXの年間王者にも輝いた。
《2018シクロクロス東京》
2018年３月の出来事

・フランス式自転車コーチングセミナー ・神宮外苑クリテリウム ・平成29年度全国高等学校選抜自転車競技大会 |
3月はボンシャンス福島晋一氏の主催で「フランス式自転車コーチングセミナー」を飯田市で行い、フランスナショナルコーチライセンスを持つフランソワ・アントワン氏による講習会が行われ県内だけでなく全国から受講者が飯田市上村に集まった。また、大学シリーズの最終戦となった明治神宮外苑クリテリウムが行われ信州大学が出場。高校生大会は春のセンバツ高校自転車大会が九州で行われ、長野県からは松本工業高校と飯田風越高校が代表校として出場した。

・2018年美鈴湖自転車競技場営業開始 ・第32回ツールド八ヶ岳 ・あづみのセンチュリーライド ・菜の花飯山サイクルロードレース ・トライアル全日本選手権・アジア選手権 ・松本トラック 《コモンウェルスゲーム遠征》 |
4月は恒例の菜の花飯山サイクルロードレースでシーズンが開幕。昨年まで高校生だった小出樹（京都産業大-松本工業）や橋本嶺登（長野大-中野立志館高）が大学デビュー戦で表彰台に上がる快挙を見せた。また、トライアルの全日本選手権とアジア選手権が佐久市で行われ熱戦が行われた。月末には県内のトラック開幕戦となる松本トラックも最終週に行われ開幕を待ちわびた多くの選手が参加した。さらにこの月は筆者が英連邦のオリンピックであるコモンウェルスゲームに遠征してサイト初海外からのレポートを作成した。

5月は競技会・サイクリングイベント共に2018年最多の開催数となった。中でも国体・インターハイの予選となる2daysレースin木島平はNHKのテレビ番組チャリダーが特集した。その他サイクリング長野は塩田平サイクリングにてサポートカーによる機材と補給を行った。その他、恒例のツアーオブジャパン飯田ステージが今年は晴天のもと開催され多くのファンが県内外から集まった。

2018年６月の出来事
6月は国体・インターハイのトラック種目の長野県大会（予選）が行われ、大会結果から2018年の長野県代表強化・候補選手が決定された。高校生はインターハイの最終予選となった北信越大会に挑んだ。また、ロードレースとロードタイムトライアルの日本一を決める全日本選手権が行われ長野県からも多くの選手が日本タイトルに挑んだ。なお実業団の栂池ヒルクライムは中止となった。

2018年７月の出来事
7月は大学連盟主催のJICF INTERNATIONAL TRCK CUPが美鈴湖で行われ、世界王者のテオ・ボス（オランダ）やリ・ケイシ（香港）など世界の強豪が松本に集結した。MTBは全日本選手権が富士見パノラマで行われ、春先から好調の長野県オフロード選手達が大活躍を見せた。月末には恒例の白馬クリテリウムとシマノバイカーズが行われ両大会とも台風の接近で開催が危ぶまれながらも開催された。
